Privacy policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Helisis (9173-0911 Québec inc. and its related companies) owns and manages rental buildings in Greater Montréal. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have under Québec law.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Kai Xiong Zhang is responsible for the protection of personal information at Helisis. To reach him about privacy, an access request or a complaint, write to info@helisis.ca with "Privacy" in the subject line.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email, phone number (optional) and your message.
- When you apply for an apartment: the information on the rental application and the documents you choose to send, so we can assess the application.
- When you are a tenant: your lease information, contact details and the maintenance, key or laundry requests you send, including any photos.
- When you visit this website: page views, device and browser information, and advertising interactions, as described below.
Why we use it
To answer you, process a rental application, manage leases and buildings, carry out repairs, and meet our legal obligations. We also measure website use and advertising results, as explained below. We do not sell personal information.
Who may see it
Only the members of our team who need it for their work, and the service providers that help us operate, under agreements that protect your information: our online form tools, our email and document tools (Google Workspace), and our website host (Cloudflare), which also delivers the messages sent through our contact form. Some of these providers may store information outside Québec; before using them, we assess that the information receives adequate protection, as Québec law requires.
How long we keep it
As long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and for the period required by law (for example, accounting and tax records). Applications that do not lead to a lease are not kept longer than necessary. After that, the information is destroyed or anonymized.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics starts on your first visit and continues if you select Decline. Meta advertising tracking also starts immediately, on every page, unless you previously declined it. Selecting Accept keeps it running; selecting Decline stops it. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Declining does not prevent you from using our forms or viewing apartments.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and loading performance without analytics cookies or cross-site visitor tracking. Cloudflare provides reports covering up to six months. This service can operate independently of your cookie choice when configured.
- Google Analytics helps us understand which pages and apartment links people use, including clicks on phone numbers and email addresses, listing filters, map pins, frequently asked questions and how far pages are read. It receives page and event information, browser and device information, language, and cookie identifiers. We set its cookies to expire after 12 months without extending that expiry on each visit.
- Meta pixel and Conversions API help measure advertising results on every page of this site. Meta receives page views and relevant actions, cookie identifiers when available, your IP address and browser information. Browser and server events share an event identifier to avoid counting the same action twice. Meta cookies may last up to 90 days. The server connection operates only when it is configured.
If you select Accept and then send a visit request or sign up for apartment news, we may also send Meta a coded version of the email address or phone number you provide. This uses SHA-256 hashing to match an advertising interaction. It does not make the information anonymous. We do not send your name, message, rental application contents or documents through these tags.
We remember your choice for 12 months, or until this policy version changes. A necessary preference cookie can remember your choice if browser storage is unavailable. Decline stops new Meta tracking and removes Meta cookies accessible to this site. Google Analytics and its cookies continue. Decline does not erase information already received by either provider. Google and Meta keep event information according to their service and account retention settings, which are separate from cookie expiry. You can contact our privacy officer for details or an access or deletion request. Information may be processed outside Québec.

How we protect it
Access is limited to authorized staff, accounts are protected, and our providers use encryption. If a confidentiality incident creates a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
