Verdun is a riverside borough southwest of downtown, known for Rue Wellington, its lively main street, and a long waterfront along the St. Lawrence with an urban beach.

Each summer, part of Rue Wellington becomes the Promenade Wellington, a pedestrian street full of terraces and foot traffic. It is where Helisis owns its commercial buildings.
